School Target List Portfolio

Successful college planning begins with identifying the colleges that are the best fit for students academically, socially, and financially. We craft a "School Target List Portfolio" for you that lists and compares specific colleges in terms of how they align with your student’s interests and preferences. See below for more detail on what the portfolio includes...

All of our advising service packages include a School Target List Portfolio, the contents of which are detailed on our home page. However, clients may choose to purchase a portfolio by itself, and use it to guide their college search and planning that they undertake on their own. A portfolio by itself starts at $200.
1) A student profile that outlines and prioritizes their academic record, interests, and preferences.

2) A resource sheet for financial planning and applying for various forms of scholarships.

3) A target list that identifies specific colleges/universities that fit the student’s academic needs, extracurricular interests, financial fit, and career goals.

4) A detailed profile for each school devoted entirely to an assessment of how well it fits *your* student, and how it compares to the other schools on your list.

Clients Pay for Our Expertise, Not Just Our Time

Transitions to College Consulting does not charge clients for billable hours, as is the practice of some consultants in a variety of fields. We work hard to make sure that our service prices are closely aligned with specific expertise that is actionable for our clients, and we actively avoid the excessive fees that billable hours can produce.

In addition, our services pay for themselves in a number of ways. First, we work with clients to secure the best financial aid package possible, and this includes help with applications for private scholarships that defray tuition costs. Second, we help clients find a good college fit and stay on time to degree, avoiding the added cost of extra semesters.
